Monica Bedi on Tuesday released her first devotional music album Ek Onkaar in Mumbai.  “Being part of such a great thing it is really a big honour for me. Its definitely my way of thanking god after all I have gone through, its only god who has helped me out to become a stronger person.

So Im strong believer in god. I strongly believe that faith can move mountains,” quipped Bedi. The album comprises her renditions of the Mool Mantra and passages from the Sikh religious compilation Japji Sahib in a musical background.  Universal Music has launched the music album.

RGVs Raksha comes in for criticismAll India Democratic Women’s Association demanded ban of the movie, Raksha, by Ramgopal Varma, on the allegation that it promotes superstitions. The association along with DYFI State Committee organized a protest near the theatre screening the movie and destroyed the movie posters.
 
Finding fault with the Censor Board for allowing the movie without any cuts, the association called for condemnations from intellectuals and people from different walks of life.

Ayesha, meanwhile, is busy completing her projects. She has informed her producers that she won’t shoot after marriage. “I have left the decision to work after marriage to Ayesha.

She has always done sweet and enjoyable flicks. Never anything in bad taste. So I’m fine with whatever she chooses,” Farhan said sweetly.

Sameera takes up Andhra issueSameera Reddy is all set to play a Naxalite in her next film Red Alert. “It is inspired by a true story that appeared in newspapers. Red Alert talks on the issue of Naxalites. It is not just limited to India but it’s a global issue.” says director Anant Mahadevan. It is believed that Sameera who plays a role of a Naxalite is doing a lot of research. She has also read a biography of dreaded terrorist Osama Bin Laden. She confirms, “Yes I have read Osama Bin Laden’s biography. But coming back to the Naxal problem, there are always two sides to a Naxalite. It explains how and why a person becomes a Naxalite.” Sameera has a reason for doing this film.  She reveals “I am also from Andhra Pradesh where the naxalite attacks are a common occurrence. Everyday you will here about such happenings there. It’s a very big problem. I already know about the issue, so I am very happy that someone from Bollywood is actually making a film on it.” Red Alert will have an international version, which has been titled as Spring Thunder for the overseas market. Sameera will be seen in very different get-ups.” Red Alert will commence in April end.
